About this Workshop
Curious about needle felting but not sure where to start? Tried a felting kit before and felt underwhelmed by the results? In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn the foundational techniques of needle felting in a relaxed, hands-on environment. We'll cover the essential tools, materials, and methods needed to shape and sculpt wool into a finished project you'll be proud of.
Participants will create an adorable needle-felted turtle while learning core felting techniques such as shaping, layering, detailing, and attaching components. Along the way, you'll gain practical skills that can be applied to a wide variety of future needle felting projects.
No prior experience is necessary. This class is perfect for complete beginners or anyone looking to improve their technique.
Come stab some wool (safely!) and leave with a handmade turtle, a new creative skill, and the confidence to continue felting at home.
Age Requirement
- This workshop is recommended for ages 14 and up
- Participants under 14 must attend with a parent or guardian
- Makerspace membership is available to individuals 18+
